Whoa, I think I have found the answer in your owner's manual.
Disappointed there is no reply yet from Presonus. So I purchased an HP60 and it's obvious that not every cable will work. That's not a fault with the cable, but a misunderstanding of what it is providing and what the HP60 is expecting. The Mono button simply sums the Left and Right. Pressing the mono button will sum the Hot and Return, leaving you nothing To make it work as required you need to lift cut the wire on the RING of the plug and connect it to ground in the plug.
This unbalances the signal so when you press the mono button you get it in both ears. Thanks for explaining that Karyn. What would you recommend as the simplest solution for getting audio from those into the HP60's individual inputs? Whether you're using the DB25 with a breakout cable or the individual outputs your issue is the same. It may help to look at a pic of a project to kind of get the jist of it.
You are almost there. Just come back if there are any other questions. VladimirOstrava wrote: matthewgorman wrote: Just for simplicity, all of my instructions are for controls in S1. Community Forums.

All Rights Reserved. Help connecting HP60 to Studio Live Hello, I have an HP60 on the way and I've been reading the manual but I can't figure out how to connect it in order to do what I would like to. Here is the situation, I have some acoustic guitar tracks that I recorded in Studio One 2. Now, the singers want to add the vocals to that guitar track. There are 2 singers and they want to sing together, at the same time in the same room.
So, I have 2 large condenser microphones setup one in front of the other about 8 feet apart. Channel 1 is male vocal, channel 2 is female vocal. I want both of them to have a pair of headphone, as well as myself, so that they can listen to the guitar playing back in Sudio One and also hear their own vocals as well as the vocals of the other singer. I want to hear the same thing so that I can monitor the recording.
I tried this exact setup las weekend with a Behringer PowerPlay Pro 8, but it did not really work out, they could not hear their vocals very well, but the guitar was not an issue. I figured that the HP60, with it's mix button and external direct input might be a better choice for what I want to do.
Sample Hook Up Diagram. Thank you for purchasing the PreSonus HP60 Six-Channel Headphone Mixing System. PreSonus Audio Electronics has. With the PreSonus® HP60 headphone distribution system, you can easily resolve these problems and provide headphone mixes the musicians will love. I am researching Headphone Amplifiers and your HP60 looks very nice but I have a question. I would be driving the (more me) External Inputs.
I am confused as to why I would connect the main output of the to the HP 60, I say this because I am only recording in Studio One, I am not using the faders on the channels or the main fader. When I had the Behringer, the Monitor level controlled how much of the guitar tracks they would hear, because the Monitor output was connected to the headphone amps "Mix 2 " input, and the main output connected to the "Mix 1" input.
My is used as my main audio interface for my computer, I listen to music, play video games, movies etc.How to setup headphone distribution amp in home recording studio or Live sound reinforcement
Of course, I have to ensure the "Firewire" button rigth below the Monitor Level is on, otherwise, no sound. The manual of the HP60 says to connect the mixer channel's output to the "External Input" for "more me" but my does not have an output for each channel.
I have 4 Aux output, do I use that? It's probably not as complicated as I think it is, but I can't figure it out. I am hoping someone has the as well as an HP60 and is doing what I am trying to do!!
Thank you!! Lenovo W, StudioLive I am using Alesis Multimix Cue 6, which is probably very similar machine. The HP60 can handle 2 separate mixes, and it looks like you only need one so you are in the ball park.
Thank you Vladimir, I appreciate your feedback.
Thank you very much Matt, I appreciate the detailed response. I will give this a try, I'm a still a bit confused about sends, aux, mix busses etc. When you say "fader" you mean the one in Studio One 2. The only "output" from the that I can see are the AUX 1 to 4, are those the ones you refer to?

I kind of wish the had outputs for each of the 16 channels. Just for simplicity, all of my instructions are for controls in S1. I think, that there is a difference between these units in this sense.
